The Music and Wit of Cole Porter
SDGMC's Ensemble, "The Mood Swings," gave their first standalone performance August 24-26, 2012 at the Lyceum Theatre.
The Mood Swings, SDGMC’s eleven-voice ensemble, presented a rollicking song and dance revue, showcasing the life, music and wit of Cole Porter, August 24-26 at San Diego’s Lyceum Theatre. Featuring more than 30 of his best-loved and most recognizable tunes, “Let’s Misbehave!” showcased one of America’s most beloved and prolific musical theatre composers, and the standards of style and wit to which today’s composers and lyricists aspire.
MOOD SWINGS debut performance was in the spring of 2010. The group performs at parties, conventions, fundraising events, political rallies, and wherever people want to have fun. The ensemble can customize its performance for almost any occasion, thanks to a vast repertoire of music ranging from 50's classics and high energy pop numbers to stirring ballads that tug at your heart.
